Islamabad, 8 January 2026 — Regional security and military collaboration were discussed in Islamabad as Chief of Air Staff Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, met Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at Naval Headquarters.
During the meeting, both sides addressed the evolving security environment and agreed on the need for closer cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and Bangladesh. Admiral Ashraf emphasized Pakistan Navy’s initiatives for maritime peace, while Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan highlighted the importance of joint exercises and exchanges to build greater synergy.
The visit comes after Admiral Ashraf’s trip to Dhaka in late 2025, underscoring the momentum in defence ties between the two countries.
