ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Army has congratulated the nation for the successful and peaceful conduct of the recent general elections.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the armed forces and law enforcement agencies ensured security throughout the election process.
The ISPR said around 6,000 highly sensitive polling stations experienced peaceful polling thanks to the deployment of 137,000 personnel of the Rapid Response Force along with other law enforcement agencies.
The army and law enforcement agencies functioned in accordance with the constitution and created a safe environment for voters, the ISPR said.
The armed forces expressed gratitude and acknowledged the joint efforts of various law enforcement agencies in safeguarding the democratic process.
“The armed forces are proud to have collaborated with other security agencies to ensure complete security of the election process,” the ISPR said.
In total, 137,000 members of the Pakistan Army and another 600,000 other law enforcement agencies contributed to maintaining security during the election.
