Pakistan Army, Al-Shifa Eye Trust collaborate for free eye camp in Landi Kotal

The Pakistan Army in collaboration with Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital has organized a ground-breaking initiative to address the shortage of health facilities in the Landi Kotal region of Khyber district.

Within two days, a Free Eye Camp was set up to offer free eye examinations and treatment to local residents.

During this unprecedented event, a total of 1,021 patients were screened and evaluated by experienced physicians and specialized nursing staff.

In addition, free glasses and medicines were distributed to the needy.

In addition, 190 individuals requiring further treatment were referred to Al-Shifa Eye Trust in Rawalpindi, with more than 20 to undergo free eye surgeries.

The community expressed their sincere gratitude to the senior officials of the Pakistan Army for organizing this invaluable medical outreach.

Residents emphasized the profound impact of these initiatives, especially considering the insufficient health infrastructure in the region.
