Rawalpindi: The Pakistan armed forces marked the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with an official statement reaffirming their institutional position on national sovereignty, constitutional governance, and interfaith harmony.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations, senior military leadership, including Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff; Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff; and Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, paid tribute to Pakistan’s founder on the occasion.

The statement said the armed forces reflected on Quaid-e-Azam’s role in the creation of Pakistan and his emphasis on constitutional principles and national unity.

Commitment to constitutional order and national security

The Pakistan armed forces reiterated their position on safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The statement said the military remains aligned with the constitutional framework and continues to view national stability, peace, and development as core responsibilities.

It added that the leadership regards Quaid-e-Azam’s principles as a reference point in addressing contemporary security and governance challenges.

Pakistan armed forces and interfaith harmony

The statement also noted that the Pakistan armed forces extended Christmas greetings to the Christian community, acknowledging their role in the country’s social and national development.

According to ISPR, the message emphasized equal rights, religious freedom, and coexistence as part of the founding vision of Pakistan.

Institutional position reiterated

The military said it remains committed to its institutional role as defined under the Constitution, with a focus on national defence and internal stability, while continuing to serve the state and its citizens.
