HANOI: Pakistan and Vietnam have taken steps to strengthen tourism cooperation as a Pakistani tourism delegation began a familiarisation (FAM) trip to Vietnam, bringing together tourism stakeholders from both countries.
The opening ceremony brought together representatives from Pakistan and Vietnam’s tourism sectors to discuss cooperation and explore new opportunities for tourism growth.
The event featured the signing of three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), marking a step towards closer tourism ties. B2B meetings and networking sessions also provided opportunities for stakeholders to discuss potential partnerships.
The Pakistani delegation included tour operators, airline representatives and provincial tourism officials. During the visit, delegates met with Vietnamese counterparts to explore joint tourism opportunities, develop attractive travel packages and promote two-way tourist flows between the countries.
The FAM trip was organised by the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan in Hanoi and public- and private-sector stakeholders.
The initiative reflects Pakistan’s efforts to expand its international tourism promotion, strengthen global partnerships and create new opportunities for cooperation between the tourism industries of Pakistan and Vietnam.
