Pak–China launch Warrior-IX counterterrorism drills at NCTC Pabbi

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Army and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China have commenced the joint military exercise Warrior-IX, the ninth edition in the series of bilateral counterterrorism exercises conducted annually between the two Iron Clad Brothers.

Strengthening counterterrorism cooperation

The exercise began on 1 December 2025, focusing on counterterrorism operations to enhance interoperability, refine professional skills, and exchange best practices in modern warfare.

Reaffirming a longstanding defence partnership

Pakistan and China enjoy a time-tested defence cooperation rooted in mutual trust and strategic partnership. Exercise Warrior-IX is a testament to strong military relations and a shared commitment to regional stability and security.

Senior leadership marks the opening ceremony

Mangla Corps Commander, Major General Bian Xiaoming, Deputy Chief of Staff of the PLA Western Theatre Command, and other senior military officials from both sides attended the opening ceremony at the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC), Pabbi.
