Feb 13, 2026: Chief of the Air Staff Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu met Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta during his official visit, focusing on expanding bilateral defence cooperation.
According to the Pakistan Air Force, discussions covered Air Force-to-Air Force collaboration, joint training, air defence cooperation and defence production. The air chief emphasized strengthening institutional linkages and enhancing operational coordination between the two countries.
President Prabowo acknowledged Pakistan Air Force’s advancements in emerging domains such as ISR, cyber, space and unmanned aerial systems, and expressed interest in expanding collaboration in aerospace and advanced technologies.
During the visit, the air chief also met Indonesia’s Minister of Defence and senior military officials, including the Chief of the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the Chief of the Indonesian Air Force.
He was accorded a Guard of Honour and later awarded the Medal of Honour by the Indonesian Air Force in recognition of efforts to promote defence collaboration.
Officials described the visit as a step toward reinforcing strategic ties and expanding professional cooperation between the two air forces.
