Karachi: Senior Pakistani showbiz actor Behroze Sabzwari said that Pakistani actresses have tarnished the country’s name by working in Bollywood.
In a recent podcast interview, Behroze Sabzwari said that Fawad Khan went to India and did great things in Bollywood. He said that if Fawad Khan was still working in Bollywood movies today, he could be sure that Fawad would be the number one star in Bollywood before all the other Khans of Bollywood.
Behroze Sabzwari said that apart from Fawad Khan, Javed Sheikh is also popular in Bollywood. Some of our actresses have also worked in Bollywood movies, but instead of making Pakistan proud with their work, they have disgraced the name of the country.
He said that the ban on the release of Hindi films in Pakistan should be lifted. When Hindi movies are screened in cinemas here, it will lead to better film production in Lollywood and new cinemas will be established.
The actor said that the release of Indian films in Pakistan will fill our cinema halls as Pakistani audiences also want to watch Indian films.
When podcast host Behroze Sabzwari was asked why India should release Pakistani films in his country, the actor said that Pakistani films will be screened in Indian theaters when our films do well enough.
Behroze Sabzwari added that Pakistan’s only film ‘Legend of Maula Jatt’ became a worldwide hit and earned billions of rupees.
