Arid University launched the One Window System to streamline services for current and alumni students

The Directorate of IT Services (DITS) at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) has launched an advanced One Window System, marking a major step toward comprehensive university automation. The system has been designed to provide efficient and centralized services to both current and alumni students, significantly simplifying academic and administrative processes.

PHEC chairperson appreciates university’s automation initiative

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Chairperson Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan (H.I, S.I), who formally launched the digital platform. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Iqrar appreciated the university’s forward-looking approach and its commitment to leveraging information technology for improved service delivery. He praised the DITS for introducing a system that enhances transparency, efficiency and accessibility for thousands of students.

One Window System aligned with university’s digital transformation vision

Vice Chancellor PMAS-AAUR Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman highlighted that the One Window System is part of the university’s broader automation and digital transformation initiative, aimed at reducing manual interventions, ensuring data accuracy, and offering students a seamless experience. He stated that the initiative is aligned with the university’s strategic vision to modernize operations, strengthen IT infrastructure, and adopt smart solutions across all departments and Digital platforms and self-service kiosks ensure students can access information, track application status, and complete tasks at any time, even outside of office hours i.e 24/7

University integrates automated modules under one platform

The Vice Chancellor further emphasized that the university has already automated several core domains, including admissions, examinations, student records, fee management, attendance, and evaluation modules under the comprehensive digital ecosystem developed by the Directorate of IT Services. He further added that the One Window System integrates these services under one platform, enabling students to access required facilities quickly and conveniently.

DITS vows continued progress toward full automation

Director DITS Dr. Nadeem Ahmad Malik reiterated the department’s commitment to continuous innovation and enhancement of university systems, ensuring that students, faculty, and staff benefit from improved efficiency and technology-driven solutions. The launch of the One Window System represents a major milestone in the university’s journey toward full automation, demonstrating its dedication to excellence, modernization, and student facilitation.
