In a recent development, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a slight reduction in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), offering some relief to consumers.
Revised prices effective from March 1, 2024 indicate a slight revision. The consumer LPG rate, which was earlier fixed at around Rs 257.59/kg, has been marginally reduced to Rs 216.79/kg, reflecting a slight decrease of Rs 0.81/kg.
For consumers using an 11.8 kg LPG cylinder, the cost has been revised to Rs 3,030.12, a slight reduction of Rs 9.51 per cylinder from the previous price of Rs 3,039.63.

Although the reduction is minimal, this initiative is expected to have a positive impact on households and businesses that are heavily dependent on LPG for various purposes.
