Former actress Noor Bukhari has once again found herself at the receiving end of criticism from social media users.
Recently, Noor shared a picture on Instagram with her husband Aoun Chaudhry and children, where she was seen wearing a black maxi dress with a light-colored scarf tied in a modern style, instead of a traditional dupatta.
The image, which did not include a dupatta, did not sit well with her followers, leading to criticism.
One female user commented on the picture, stating, “Baji, this is called a turban, not hijab.” Another user questioned, “What kind of hijab is this?” A third user referred to her scarf as a “turban” instead of a hijab.
In response to the criticism, Noor shared a story addressing the backlash.
She wrote, “Wearing a hijab or covering my head is my personal choice. I didn’t do this for you, so stop commenting on my choices. Whether I wear a hijab, turban, or a dupatta, it’s none of your business. If you’re going to answer for my grave, speak up; otherwise, stay quiet.”
