INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS ORGANIZED BY NATIONAL HIGHWAYS AND MOTORWAY POLICE ACROSS THE COUNTRY

Islamabad: Various ceremonies were organized across the country by the National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) in connection with the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan. On the occasion, the NHMP Headquarters, along with the offices of all zones and sectors, were illuminated with decorative lights, while national flags were also hoisted. In addition, the national green-and-white flags were displayed on all operational vehicles.

A central ceremony was held at the Motorway Police Lines Headquarters, Islamabad, in connection with Independence Day, where Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry hoisted the national flag. On the occasion, a smartly turned-out contingent presented salute.

Officers and personnel of the NHMP participated in the ceremony. An Independence Day cake was also cut during the ceremony, followed by prayers for the security, progress, and prosperity of the country and its people. As part of the Independence Day celebrations, national flags, awareness pamphlets, and gifts were distributed among citizens travelling on national highways.

The initiative aimed to involve citizens in the Independence Day celebrations while promoting national unity and fostering a spirit of patriotism. On the occasion, Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry congratulated the nation on the 79th Independence Day and said that Independence Day serves as a reminder of our national duties and responsibilities. He said that the Motorway Police remains committed to performing its duties with integrity, dedication, and courtesy.
