Islamabad United’s Naseem Shah has been penalized for breaching the Code of Conduct during the recent HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 encounter against Multan Sultans at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
The fiery incident unfolded when Naseem, in a moment of frustration, kicked the stumps after the end of Multan Sultans’ innings.
The offense resulted in Naseem Shah being fined 10 percent of his match fee under Article 2.2 of the HBL PSL Player and Player Support Staff Code of Conduct, which relates to the misuse of cricket equipment or ground facilities.
A swift resolution saw Naseem Shah accept the charges and propose sanctions without the need for a formal hearing, overseen by match referee Roshan Mahanama.
