Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Tuesday made it clear that corruption will not be tolerated in the party.
Siddiqui chaired the MQM-P Rabita committee meeting. On the occasion, the elected legislators were directed to visit the party office in their respective constituencies once a week.
Sources revealed that the elected lawmakers were instructed to listen to the concerns of the masses.
The MQM-P leadership decided to finalize the name of the opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly after consultations.

Siddiqui emphasized the need to promote democracy in the country.
Expressing his thoughts, Siddiqui said, “Democracy cannot be strengthened unless the participation of the masses in the process is ensured.”
Emphasizing the importance of the supremacy of the constitution, he said, “Everyone must follow the constitution of the country.
“We would not let the leaders derail democracy for tomorrow’s election of speaker and deputy speaker,” he added.
