After a meeting between the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) delegation and President Asif Ali Zardari, a breakthrough was reached, signaling the end of the standoff between the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the MQM.
According to sources, the MQM delegation raised concerns with the Sindh government in a meeting and President Zardari directed Prime Minister Mirat Ali Shah and the Sindh Home Minister to address the issue.
A meeting between the Sindh government and MQM leaders is scheduled at the Chief Minister’s house to work out the details.
Sources close to the talks said the two sides agreed to work together to improve the province and maintain peace and order.
This achievement marks a significant change in political tone as MQM decided to shift its strategy to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
