The benefits of Provincial Minister for Industry and Trade Chaudhry Shafay Hussain’s visit to China are starting to show, as mobile phones will now be manufactured in Punjab.
The Provincial Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of a private mobile company’s manufacturing plant at the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company. Mobile manufacturing is expected to begin within two years.
Chaudhry Shafay Hussain said that the Chinese company’s move to shift from assembling mobile phones to manufacturing them in Punjab is a positive development that will lead to a reduction in mobile phone prices.
He further added that this is the best time for local and foreign investors to invest in Punjab, as Chinese and other foreign companies are increasing their investments in the region.
Soon, billions of rupees in direct foreign investment will come to Punjab, and investors are being offered excellent facilities and incentives. The provincial minister also observed the construction process of the mobile manufacturing plant.
