Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane’s 2016 romantic Indian film Sanam Teri Kasam has made a spectacular comeback upon its re-release.
During its initial release, the film had limited success at the box office, collecting approximately 8.03 crore Indian rupees and was considered a flop. However, upon its re-release on February 7, 2025, audiences have responded with surprising enthusiasm.
On its first day back in theaters, the film earned an impressive 5.14 crore Indian rupees, and by the next day, it had already surpassed its original total earnings with a net collection of approximately 9 crore Indian rupees.
Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the 2016 film stars Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane in lead roles. The overwhelming attention and positive response from audiences have led to an unexpected success, marking a drastic change from its original release.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane recently tied the knot with fellow actor Ameer Gilani last Thursday. The two have previously worked together in popular Pakistani dramas Sabaat and Namak and had been rumored to be in a relationship for quite some time.
