Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra inaugurated at PMAS-AAUR Attock sub-campus

ATTOCK — A newly built Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra was formally inaugurated at the Attock Sub-Campus of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), providing a dedicated place of worship for students, faculty and staff.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman inaugurated the mosque during a ceremony attended by university officials, faculty members, administrative staff and a large number of students.

Addressing the gathering, the vice chancellor highlighted the importance of providing comprehensive facilities at educational institutions, noting that places of worship contribute to the moral and spiritual development of students alongside their academic growth.

He said the establishment of Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra reflects the university’s commitment to promoting both educational excellence and character building within the campus environment.

During his visit, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman also reviewed facilities at the Attock Sub-Campus and inspected ongoing development initiatives. He expressed satisfaction over the progress and directed the administration to ensure that all essential facilities are available to create a supportive learning environment for students.

The vice chancellor also stressed the need for continuous improvement, innovation and effective use of resources to meet the educational needs of the region.

Director Attock Campus Dr. Rifat Hayat thanked the university leadership, faculty and staff who contributed to completing the mosque project. He also shared plans to further expand academic activities, improve research facilities and enhance student services at the campus.

Dr. Hayat said the Attock Sub-Campus aims to strengthen its role as a growing academic center aligned with the broader mission of PMAS-AAUR.
