Social networking platform X (formerly Twitter) has started rolling out audio and video calling features.
X CEO Elon Musk shared a post on the platform announcing the feature and wrote that the initial version of the audio and video calling feature has arrived on X. The feature is also accompanied by a new toggle in the app’s settings. is provided to enable or disable the feature and to determine the people with whom the feature is to be used.
The option offered in the toggle will allow users to call people in the address book, followed people, authenticated users or all three features simultaneously.
Users can call another user by going to DM (Direct Message). Also, audio or video call can be selected by pressing the phone icon on the top right side of the screen.
It should be noted that currently this feature is available only for iOS users and its release for Android users is expected soon. However, no date has been announced by the company.
