LPG Price Increased by 50 Rupees Per Kilogram

Lahore: LPG price hiked by Rs 50 per kg.

According to LPG Distributor Association Chairman Irfan Khohar, LPG marketing companies and factory mafia have started selling LPG at their own price instead of the official price, increasing the price by Rs 50 per kg.

He said black marketing of LPG by this company is rampant and LPG is not available anywhere in the country at the official price. OGRA has fixed the price at Rs 234.60 per kg, while gas is sold at Rs 280 to Rs 285 per kg in the market.

Following the hike in LPG prices, domestic cylinders have gone up by Rs 600 and commercial cylinders by Rs 2,250. The official price of the inner cylinder is Rs 2,770 but it is currently selling for Rs 3,370. Similarly, a trading cylinder which was supposed to be priced at Rs 10,715 is now being sold at Rs 12,435.

He said that the government has surrendered to the gas mafia. Until the government takes strong action against the LPG mafia, black marketing will not stop.
