Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar called on Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad on February 2, 2026, to discuss matters of mutual interest and regional maritime security.
According to a statement issued by the Directorate General Public Relations (Navy), the meeting focused on the evolving maritime security environment and explored ways to enhance cooperation in defence and training between the Pakistan Navy and the Libyan Armed Forces.
Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, the visiting dignitary was received by the chief of the naval staff. During the interaction, Lieutenant General Haftar acknowledged the Pakistan Navy’s role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthen and diversify the existing bilateral defence relationship, emphasizing continued engagement and professional collaboration.
