Google is preparing for its annual developer conference, Google I/O 2024, which is scheduled to start soon.
The Pixel 8a was recently announced by the company, while the Pixel 9 series is expected to be announced in October. However, before the official announcement, all three devices belonging to the Pixel 9 lineup have been revealed with a nice presentation.
The live video collection, revealed by Rosetked (Russia), shows a set of live images of the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The leaked renders compare the specifications of the three Pixel 9 phones and the iPhone 15.
According to the visuals, the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro look similar to the iPhone 15 Pro. By contrast, its larger counterpart, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, approaches the dimensions of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Apart from the dimensions, the leaked renders of the Google Pixel 9 series also show the new camera setup that will be included in the phone.
The new camera layout moves away from the linear structure that stretches from the rear edge of the phone to the rounded rectangle. In addition, the Pixel 9 series now has a distinctive rounded edge. The leaked renders also show the differences between the standard and Pro versions of the Pixel 9 phone.
While the standard Pixel 9 has a slim back panel and a dual camera setup on the back, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL have a triple camera setup and a matte back panel. The leaker also revealed the specifications of the full Pixel 9 lineup.
According to reports, the Google Pixel 9 is expected to have 12GB of RAM, while the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will offer 16GB of RAM. All three Pixel 9 devices start with a minimum storage capacity of 128GB. Additionally, the Pixel 9 offers a 6.24-inch 120Hz AMOLED display without UWB (Ultra Wideband) support.
The Pixel 9 Pro will reportedly have a 6.34-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with UWB support. The three cameras on the Pixel 9 Pro should be 50MP, including a 0.5x ultrawide lens and a 5x periscope. The Pixel 9 Pro XL mirrors the Pixel 9 Pro’s camera configuration and uses a 6.73-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with UWB support. Powering the entire Pixel 9 series will be the in-house Google Tensor G4 chip.
