In a daring operation, Karachi police said they foiled a major terror plot by arresting two terrorists allegedly linked to India’s secret service, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
Suspects Khawar Hussain and Jaber Korangi were arrested from the industrial area.
According to SSP Korangi, Hasan Sardar, the accused are involved in terrorism and targeting. Police recovered two grenades, a pistol and bullets from his possession.
Further investigation revealed that those arrested, especially Hasan Sardar, played a key role in communicating with foreign operatives.
The suspects are said to have received instructions from abroad, recording targets and sending sensitive information and images to foreign contacts.
In addition, it was revealed that the accused had withdrawn large funds from foreign bank accounts, indicating the international dimension of the terrorist network.
The investigation into the arrest is ongoing and authorities expect more information in the coming days.

Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hasan praised the Linjar police team for their successful operation in arresting two agents of the Indian Investigation and Intelligence Wing (RAW).
Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, while expressing his gratitude, acknowledged the technical support provided by the sensitive organization in supporting the operation.
The Sindh Home Minister emphasized the duty to maintain law and order in the region and said it was important to punish the perpetrators of the crime.
In addition, he emphasized the need for continued success in the fight against terrorism, and the importance of investigations in preventing crime.
