Karachi: 7 People Die from Heatstroke in 24 Hours

7 people died due to heat in the last 24 hours in Karachi. According to the Sindh Ministry of Health, the death toll due to heatstroke this year has reached 17.

A total of 212 hot weather cases were reported in Karachi on Thursday, with the highest number of 98 in the Central District. Additionally, 7 people were involved in a heat-related accident in Quaidabad area.

Despite the intense heat wave, planned and unplanned load shedding by the power company continues. Several areas of Karachi including Defence, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulberg, Malir, Maripur, Mehmoodabad, North Karachi, Orangi Town and Nazimabad then experienced 12-14 hours of power outage.
