ISLAMABAD: South African all-rounder Marizanne Kapp has moved up seven places to second among bowlers in the ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings while increasing her rating points in the other two lists following the ICC Women’s Championship series against Australia.
Kapp, previously the top-ranked bowler, took four wickets in the last two ODIs of the three-match series played last week, finishing second behind England spinner Sophie Ecclestone, an ICC press release said on Tuesday.
A total of 75 and three for 12 in the second match at North Sydney, which helped South Africa register their first ever ODI win over Australia, also helped them retain the eighth position in the batting order and cement their top spot in the all-rounder’s list. Kapp increased her points tally from 658 to 668 in the batting rankings and from 388 to 452 in the all-around players rankings.
