ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad district administration has decided to keep Margalla Hills’ Trails 2, 3, 4 and 5 closed to the general public on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
According to an official notification issued by the District Magistrate Islamabad, the closure will also include the trail located behind Saidpur Village.
The notification stated that the closure would remain in effect throughout August 13 as part of administrative and security arrangements.

The District Magistrate has directed the relevant departments and police authorities to take necessary measures to ensure implementation of the closure.
Copies of the notification have been forwarded to the Inspector General of Police, Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and other concerned authorities.
The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) and CDA have also been informed about the temporary closure of the trails.
Citizens and visitors have been advised to avoid using the designated trails on August 13 and cooperate with the authorities.
The trails are expected to reopen after the notified closure period, subject to further instructions from the administration.
