ISLAMABAD, Aug. 6: The Islamabad district administration has intensified its daily anti-dengue enforcement campaign, taking strict action against individuals found violating dengue prevention standard operating procedures (SOPs) and creating conditions that facilitate mosquito breeding.
According to the administration, the Assistant Commissioner Shalimar conducted inspections in Sector G-10, where five individuals were taken into custody for violating dengue prevention regulations. Similar operations carried out by assistant commissioners in other areas of the federal capital resulted in the arrest of 11 violators, who were shifted to police custody.
Officials said the ongoing campaign is aimed at eliminating mosquito breeding sites and ensuring strict compliance with public health measures to prevent the spread of dengue fever.
The district administration urged residents to fully cooperate with authorities by following dengue SOPs, eliminating stagnant water around homes and workplaces, and adopting preventive measures to help control the disease and protect public health across the capital.
