Ebrahim Raisi Iran President visit Pakistan on April 22 amid tensions following Tehran’s unprecedented missile and drone attacks.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office has also confirmed the Iranian President’s visit.
President Asif Ali Zardari will host a party in honor of his Iranian counterpart. President Raisi also holds one-on-one talks with PM Shehbaz, with special focus on gas pipeline project.
This will be President Raisi’s first foreign trip since the escalation of tensions between Iran and Israel.
President Raisi was the first to congratulate Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on his inauguration.
Recent developments and the security situation in the region will play a key role in the talks between President Raisi and Prime Minister Shehbaz.
The visit is part of the two countries’ efforts to strengthen cooperation that was temporarily strained by a missile exchange in January.
