An investigation has been launched into Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s wife, Sara Netanyahu, for allegedly harassing political opponents. According to foreign media reports, Israel’s Attorney General has ordered an investigation into Sara Netanyahu’s actions. She is accused of intimidating political opponents and witnesses involved in her husband’s corruption trial.
The Israeli Ministry of Justice issued a statement late Thursday, confirming that an investigation would be conducted based on a report aired on a television program. The report included WhatsApp messages from Sara Netanyahu, in which she allegedly instructed a former advisor to organize protests against political opponents and to intimidate the key witness in the case, Hadas Klein.
The Ministry of Justice’s statement did not specifically name Sara Netanyahu, but confirmed the investigation. Sara Netanyahu has denied the allegations, labeling the TV program’s report as false.
