(London) Speaking with the media Barrister Nawab Babar Khan has said that world leaders should do more to help settle global conflicts and potential global conflicts before they arise. At present more needs to be done to ensure that an immediate ceasefire takes place as regards the Gaza war. Thereafter, permanent peace and a permanent solution is required for this longstanding issue.
Barrister Nawab Babar Khan said that as far as the Ukraine war is concerned it cannot continue indefinitely. A solution needs to be found so as to terminate the suffering of Ukraine’s people.
A solution to the China-Taiwan issue also needs to be found before matters escalate to an undesired level.
Barrister Nawab Babar Khan said that the OIC should also play it’s role decisively, seriously, with utmost determination and take appropriate action concerning global issues. The OIC should consider the fact as to how it can be a more effective body and make appropriate changes accordingly.
As far as the Kashmir issue is concerned it can only be resolved through fair international mediation between India, Pakistan and the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Korean issue is also an extremely dangerous one and a permanent arrangement of understanding should be put in place through international assistance. North Korea should be engaged with, for only through political and economic engagement are matters resolved.
Any international incident of a severe nature can cause havoc throughout the world. Prevention is better than cure. Global conflicts cause economic strife, an increase in inflation and prices of products, and adversely affect developing countries throughout the world.
Barrister Nawab Babar Khan said that world leaders should fulfill their pledges. Global warming is also a grave issue and all countries should work together so as to find appropriate solutions. Global leaders should practice what they preach. With power comes great responsibility.
This should not be the age of wars. This should be the age of peace, alleviation of poverty, scientific progress, social justice and welfare, prosperity and enhancement of human rights.
