Instagram has launched a new feature called “Trial Reels.”
The purpose of this feature is to allow users to test their ideas and receive initial feedback on their content.
Through this feature, users will be able to share their Reels with accounts that are not their followers. This means they will have a wider platform to showcase their Reels, and later they can post it for their followers.
According to the company, you will need a professional Instagram account to use this feature, although some regular users have access to it as part of a trial.
Trial Reels will initially be shown to non-followers, giving users a chance to gauge the performance and ideas of their new content. If the performance of a trial reel is good, the user can easily share it with their followers.
How to Use the Feature To use this feature and create a trial reel, start by making a regular reel and complete all steps before sharing. Before sharing, turn on the Trial Mode option. Afterward, share the reel.
It’s important to note that the trial reel will not appear on your profile grid, Reels tab, or feed until you choose to share it with everyone.
You will be able to view the details of the views and engagement of the trial reel within 24 hours. According to the company, once you create a trial reel, Instagram will automatically share it with your followers within 72 hours based on its performance.
However, you can change this setting anytime.
Instagram mentioned that the trial phase for this feature began some time ago, and the current version has been released after considering user feedback. The company has started rolling out this feature, and it will be available to eligible users worldwide in the coming weeks.
