LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars’ campaign in PSL 9 suffered a major setback with the news that fast bowler Haris Rauf will miss the rest of the tournament due to injury. The devastating blow comes as the team looks to reverse their fortunes after facing defeat in all four of their matches so far this season.
The Lahore Qalandars management confirmed that Rauf will need a recovery period of four to six weeks, which will deal a blow to their bowling attack. Rauf’s absence leaves a glaring void in the team’s line-up as his pace and skills have been vital elements of their bowling arsenal.
Meanwhile, in yet another injury setback, renowned PSL franchise Multan Sultans announced the unfortunate news that England fast bowler Ollie Stone has also been ruled out of the current edition due to a back injury. Stone’s exit from the tournament will leave Multan Sultans in need of a replacement player to fill the void left by the talented English cricketer.

Stone’s injury happened during his very first match against Islamabad United on 20 February. The England cricketer was forced off the field after sustaining an injury in the fourth match, leaving his team without his services for the rest of the match and the tournament.
As Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans struggle with the absence of key players due to injury, the remaining matches of PSL 9 promise to be fiercely competitive as the teams look to overcome these setbacks and bid for success in the tournament.
