Vishnu Rajoria, an Indian Pandit and Chairman of the Preshuram Kalyan Board in Madhya Pradesh, has announced a reward for Brahmin couples who have more children. According to Indian media reports, Rajoria made the announcement while addressing a gathering of youth and women in Indore, saying, “The population of people from other religions is rapidly increasing, so young people should take action. I have great expectations from the youth, and they must understand that the future of the next generation lies in your hands.”
Rajoria requested married couples to have four children, offering a reward of one lakh Indian rupees from the Preshuram Kalyan Board, regardless of whether he remains the president of the board in the future. The announcement has sparked controversy in India. An official associated with the Department of Social Welfare criticized Rajoria, stating that his statement was just an announcement that contradicts the state government’s policies.
It is important to note that under Madhya Pradesh Civil Services laws, only individuals with two or fewer children are eligible for government jobs.
