Indian actress Divyanka Tripathi revealed in an interview that her trusted chartered accountant (CA) embezzled Rs. 12 lakh from her. She explained that due to her busy schedule, she couldn’t manage her finances and fully trusted her CA, who had been handling her accounts for two years. The CA suggested investing in fixed deposits, and Divyanka issued four cheques for the investment. However, her CA disappeared with the money, and when Divyanka tried to retrieve the funds, three of the cheques bounced, resulting in a loss of Rs. 9 lakh. Legal action proved futile as her lawyer was also untrustworthy and the files disappeared. Divyanka admitted that she eventually had to abandon the legal battle. Now, the actress is very cautious with her financial and legal affairs, refusing to blindly trust anyone.
