Lahore: The Bilquis and Abdul Razak Dawood (BARD) Foundation consistently makes headlines for its remarkable efforts to elevate the sports landscape in Pakistan. In its latest endeavor, the foundation has provided invaluable support to Imaad Khan, a skilled football player, who has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first Pakistani to secure a masters degree from the renowned Real Madrid Graduate School in Football Coaching & Management

Real Madrid is one of the most prestigious and renowned football clubs globally, celebrated for its legendary players and storied history. The club’s immense popularity extends to Pakistan, where it is admired for its iconic footballing legacy and star-studded roster.

Graduated with distinction, Imad reflects on his journey, stating, “Realizing this dream took me five years, from securing admission in 2019 to overcoming numerous challenges and finally graduating in 2023 with high accolades –  an achievement that was beyond my wildest dreams. I am profoundly grateful to everyone who supported me along the way, especially The Bilquis and Abdul Razak Dawood (BARD) Foundation, which provided me with the opportunity to fulfill my dream.”

Khan has been sharpening his football skills since the age of ten. In addition to his achievements on the field, he also manages a thriving sports club and football academy in Islamabad. Furthermore, he has served as a Sports Analyst for Pakistan Television Corporation Limited.

Abdul Razak Dawood says, “At our Foundation, we are deeply committed to enhancing Pakistan’s image on the global stage, particularly through sports. Every project we undertake is aimed at proving the talent and sportsmanship of Pakistan. Our goal is not just to change perceptions but to create a lasting impact by nurturing young athletes and promoting international sports collaborations.“

If we rewind a bit, Imaad was accepted into the Real Madrid Graduate School in 2016 as well. However, financial hurdles initially prevented him from starting the program. Yet, as the saying goes, determination and hard work pave the way to success. Recognizing his determination, The Bilquis and Abdul Razak Dawood (BARD) Foundation stepped in this time to provide the essential support needed to make his dream a reality.

“I am incredibly proud of the progress and impact our Foundation has made, especially in supporting remarkable talents like Imaad Khan. His success in graduating from the Real Madrid Graduate School as the first Pakistani in football and coaching management sets a shining example for other young athletes to follow. It’s heartening to see our young generation excel on such prestigious platforms, enhancing the global perception of Pakistan and empowering our local communities”, says Mehreen Dawood.
