ISLAMABAD: Advisor Federal Ombudsman Shah Mehboob Alam said that the ombudsman’s office will provide the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry dedicated access to its portal to directly file complaints of its members for quick redressal.
Speaking to ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari and other officials during his visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said that the Office of the Ombudsman plays a key role in the redressal of people’s complaints regarding government agencies by conducting independent, prompt and cost-free investigations.
ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari appreciated the role of the Federal Ombudsman in the redressal of mass complaints since its inception and briefed the advisers on the work of the Mediation Board at ICCI and expressed the hope that by getting direct access to the Ombudsman’s portal, the complaints of its members would be speedily considered for redressal.
Speaking on the occasion, ICCI Past President, United Business Group (UBG) General Secretary Zafar Bakhtawari, Executive Members Rizwan Chheena, Ch. Muhammad Ali, Maqsood Tabish, Ashfaq Chettah, Sheikh Ejaz, former executive committee member Nasir Chaudhry, and former SVP Khalid Chaudhry have pointed out the arbitrariness of some agencies causing problems to the general public and especially the business community, the adviser said. that the complaints fall within the jurisdiction of the Office of the Ombudsman will certainly be considered grounds for dispensation.
