Residents of Reddypuram Kovelakunta village in Andhra Pradesh spotted a human body floating in a nearby pond and mistook it for a corpse, according to media reports. At first they tried to call the man, but there was no answer. They finally decided to call the police and emergency services.
Security personnel went to the area near the pond and found that the body believed to be floating was actually a local laborer working in a nearby mine.
