Huge quantity of substandard medicines seized in Multan

MULTAN: The district administration seized a huge quantity of fake and substandard medicines worth crores of rupees in a raid at a house here on Saturday.

According to details, a team led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Saif on a tip-off raided a house in Qasim Bela area of ​​Multan.

During the raid, a huge amount of counterfeit and substandard drugs were found and four outlaws, including a woman, were arrested.

Based on the request of the Director General of Health Dr. Faisal Qaisarani and Drug Inspector Muhammad Usman were registered against the alleged outlaws. Alleged outlaws including Rana Ahmed and Wahaj Shah installed fake labels on various medicines.

The outlaws sold the medicine all over southern Punjab, Muhammad Saif said. Drug samples were also sent for laboratory tests. The Additional Commissioner said that no one will be allowed to play with people’s lives.
