As millions of Pakistanis continue to await the decisive outcome of Thursday’s 2024 general election, all major political parties claimed victory amid allegations of rigging. The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) with its 20 provincial assemblies from the Karachi division organized a celebration made even more dazzling by the appearance of a certain celebrity couple.
In a short video clip that has been doing the rounds on the internet, Pakistani acting duo Hira and Mani were seen at an MQM-P event in Karachi. Accepting the microphone from her husband, Hira addressed the cheering crowd with a slogan announcing party leader Mustafa Kamal.
“All of us sisters, mothers and women, our brother is here and he is Mustafa Kamal. Now we will all live in Karachi in peace,” said actor Kashf. “Our roads will be built, we will get our rights and we will live with courage because now Karachi has Mustafa Kamal.
Ending her short speech on a passionate note, Hira went on to sing a song from her 2019 drama series Meray Pass Tum Ho. The actor also encouraged everyone to join her as she serenaded the cheering crowd.
Her husband Mani took the stage to cheers and applause and congratulated the MQM-P and expressed his surprise, “I never thought I would be in MQM’s Pakistan show. I have campaigned against MQM all my life but there is one person who brought me here and who will always bring me to a new place, that is Mustafa Kamal.
