1st February 2024: Hashoo Group, the country’s leading hospitality and tourism company, has partnered with the National Endowment Scholarships for Talent (NEST) of the Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training M/o FE&PT, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad, in accordance with its mission to promote accessible education and employment opportunities for the country’s economic development. Through this collaboration, Pakistan will get its first hospitality scholarships, aimed at strengthening the hospitality and tourist industries.
Hospitality is one of the industries with the highest job creation rates, both locally and globally. This remarkable initiative will allow underprivileged Pakistani students to apply for scholarships to attend the Hashoo School of Hospitality Management’s two-year Diploma/Associate Degree Program in hospitality and tourism (HSHM). Furthermore, as a result of this collaboration, impoverished students from the Hashoo Foundation, the Hashoo Group’s corporate social responsibility branch, will now be eligible for NEST’s Nursing, Arts, and Culture Scholarship program.
Furthermore, Hashoo Group and NEST will aggressively seek nationwide opportunities to assist gifted and impoverished children who would greatly benefit from financial assistance during their educational careers. NEST’s principal purpose is to provide scholarships to deserving but poor students who need additional funds to complete their study.
Mr. Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry, Chief Executive Officer of NEST and Federal Secretary, Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad, expressed his belief that this collaboration is a great step toward empowering poor youth. He went on to explain that including scholarships for hospitality and tourism in NEST’s scope is a beneficial step that has broadened NEST’s purpose. The organization serves as a change agent, helping to reduce the educational attainment gap by providing scholarships to gifted children in underserved regions. So far, NEST has awarded over 6000 scholarships in a variety of fields, allowing these individuals to pursue additional education and advance their careers.
