Hamas Releases 4 Israeli Female Soldiers as Hostages

According to Arab media reports, Hamas has handed over the Israeli hostages to the Red Crescent. The Red Crescent vehicles have departed towards Rafah with the hostages.

The released female soldiers are identified as Karina Ariyo, Daniela Gilbo, Naama Levy, and Liri Albag, all members of the same military unit. They were stationed near Gaza during Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

Under the Gaza ceasefire agreement, for every Israeli soldier, 50 Palestinian prisoners are to be released, meaning that today, 200 Palestinian prisoners will also be freed.

On January 19, Hamas had earlier handed over three Israeli prisoners to the Red Cross, after which 90 Palestinian prisoners were released from Israeli jails.
