Religious Affairs Minister Chaudhry Salik arrived in Saudi Arabia today to review the Hajj plans representing Pakistan at the Hajj Symposium in Mecca.
The religion minister and the federal secretary will immediately supervise the hajj operations, said a spokesman for the Ministry of Religion.
The pre-Hajj flight operation for the government scheme was also successfully completed today. The last 380 pilgrims of the government scheme from Islamabad also reached Jeddah.
In the next two days, 20,000 private pilgrims will perform Hajj to Saudi Arabia. 70,000 pilgrims have come to Saudi Arabia through a private hajj scheme. The pilgrimage to Mina will be held on the night of June 13 and 14. Pakistan Haj Mission has opened a camp office in Mina for convenience.
Hajj permits have been canceled for domestic pilgrims without official vaccinations
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that the Hajj permits of some domestic pilgrims have been canceled due to failure to receive the Neisseria Meningitis vaccine.
In a statement on its X platform, the ministry announced that 90 percent of domestic pilgrims have met special preventive health requirements in terms of receiving vaccinations that contribute to protecting them from infectious diseases by mixing with the majority of pilgrims.
The ministry urged the remaining domestic pilgrims to get Neisseria Meningitis vaccination as soon as possible to avoid cancellation of their Hajj permits.
Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry announced that Hajj security forces had arrested 21 people when they tried to transport 61 pilgrims to Mecca without a Hajj permit. On June 7, 13 citizens and eight foreigners were arrested at the Mecca gate.
The seasonal management committee under the Directorate General of Passports issued 21 administrative decisions against them, including a 15-day prison sentence and a fine of SR 10,000 for each carrier, with fines increasing with each number. violators are transported. The names of the offenders will be published in the local press at their own expense, in addition to deporting expatriates after imprisonment, prohibiting them from re-entering the Kingdom for a period determined by law. The committee also demanded in court to confiscate three vehicles used in transport.
Director of the Department of Public Security Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Bassami said that public security officers were able to arrest more than 140 fake hajj companies during this year’s hajj season. The Ministry of Home Affairs has urged all citizens and foreigners to adhere to the Hajj rules and guidelines to enjoy safety, security and comfort in performing their rituals during the Hajj season.
