The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has released its annual list of 100 Women 2024, which includes Pakistan’s renowned singer Hadiqa Kiani.
Hadiqa Kiani, who has ruled the music world since the 1990s, is not only famous for her powerful singing but also for her unparalleled humanitarian efforts. During the devastating floods in Pakistan in 2022, Hadiqa initiated the “Wasila Rah” project to assist the victims, under which over 370 houses were built in Balochistan and Southern Punjab.
According to the BBC, Hadiqa Kiani is a symbol of determination and strength for women in South Asian pop music. She is also serving as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme.
