Islamabad: There is good news about petrol prices as people will be relieved again.
Details show that the government is expected to cut oil prices for the third time in a row. Sources indicated that the price of petroleum products in Pakistan is likely to decrease from June 1 due to the drop in oil prices in the global market.
Sources said petrol and diesel prices are likely to drop, with petrol expected to drop by Rs 5.75 per liter and diesel by Rs 4 per litre.
OGRA will send a price summary to the Ministry of Petroleum on May 31, after which the Ministry of Finance will announce the new price in consultation with the Prime Minister. These new rates will be effective from June 1, 2024 for the first fifteen days of the month.
Sources also noted that the price of oil in the international market decreased by $ 3.25 and $ 2.10 per barrel, respectively.
Incidentally, the government on May 15 announced that the price of fuel has been reduced by Rs 15.39 per liter to Rs 273.10 per liter, while high speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 7.88 per liter. the price is 274.08 rupees.
