LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that the provincial government will take comprehensive and effective measures to protect wildlife in Punjab.
In her message on World Wildlife Day 2024 on Sunday, the CM said the importance of wildlife in maintaining ecological balance cannot be underestimated.
The Punjab government is aware of the importance of biodiversity and will take effective measures to achieve environmental balance. Our highest priority is to protect all kinds of wildlife from the wild sheep found in the Salt Range to the “talurs” of Cholistan and dolphins.
Like the whole of Pakistan, nature has blessed Punjab with beautiful wildlife, which we are responsible for protecting and promoting.”
“On World Wildlife Day, I pay tribute to the workers and organizations working in this area,” she concluded.
