Govt launches major crackdown on drug dealers

The Pakistani government and military have cracked down on drug traffickers, seizing 1,023,530 kilograms of illegal drugs and arresting 1,225 people involved in human trafficking.

Significant seizures were made in the region between March 24 and 31, with authorities seizing 1,076 drugs in Balochistan, 8,013 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 28 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 166 in Punjab and 19 in Sindh.

Seized were 236 kilograms of heroin, 190 kilograms of marijuana, 23 kilograms of methamphetamine, 188 kilograms of fat, and 8,665 kilograms of other drugs.

Law enforcement agencies also arrested 45 criminals involved in various illegal activities across the country.

Pakistani authorities have decided to eradicate the drug menace and have pledged to continue their efforts to achieve this important goal.
