In response to the artificial increase in the prices of wheat and flour and to prevent shortages, the government took important steps by imposing an immediate ban on the import and export of wheat.
The Ministry of Commerce issued an official notification regarding these measures.
The ban on the import of wheat and the export of flour, according to the notification, takes effect immediately. Officials explained that these decisions were taken to curb artificial inflation in wheat and flour prices and ensure adequate supplies in the country.
By limiting wheat imports, the government aims to stabilize local markets and support domestic producers. At the same time, the ban on the export of flour is intended to prevent its shortage and maintain sufficient supplies for local consumers.
This decisive step underlines the government’s commitment to address price manipulation and ensure the availability of basic commodities for the population.
