The Federal Government has decided to accelerate the exploration of oil and gas in the offshore areas of our country.

Details indicate that more efforts will be made to find oil and gas in coastal waters for the country’s energy security. The Prime Minister also ordered to seek the services of foreign experts in this regard within two months.

Sources in the petroleum department said that huge oil and gas reserves are estimated in the country’s two offshore basins, Indus and Makran.

On the occasion of the Petroleum Conference 2024 held in Islamabad last year, it was necessary to emphasize the need for joint efforts to find offshore and offshore oil and gas reserves.
