LAHORE: Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman visited Allama Iqbal’s Mazar-e-Iqbal in Lahore and recited Fatiha and placed flowers on the occasion of Allama Iqbal’s birthday.
Governor Punjab also penned his comments in the guest book.
Apart from this, a solemn ceremony of the changing of the guards was held at the mausoleum of the poet Mashrekh Allama Muhammad Iqbal in Lahore this morning.
On the 146th birth anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal today, a contingent of Pakistan Navy took over the duties of honor guard at Mazar-e-Iqbal.
The chief guest of the ceremony, Station Commander Pakistan Navy Lahore Commodore Sajid Hussain, offered flowers at Mazar Iqbal on behalf of the Chief of Pakistan Navy.
Regarding Iqbal Day, celebrations are being organized across the country today, on this occasion the government has also announced a public holiday across the country.
