After recording a decline in the previous session, gold prices rose sharply in Pakistan on Wednesday, reflecting a rise in international rates.
Gold price per tola climbed by Rs 2,300 to Rs 252,800, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
In the local market, the price of 10 gram gold rose by Rs 1,972 to Rs 216,735. The increase comes after gold prices fell by Rs 500 per tola on Tuesday.
The international market also saw gold prices rise, with the rate at $2,413 an ounce, including a $20 premium, after gaining $22 during the day.
Meanwhile, silver rates remained unchanged at Rs 2,920 per tola.
On Thursday, gold price rose by Rs 4,600 per tola to touch an all-time high of Rs 254,000 in the local market, marking a significant increase in a short period.
